Spring maintenance: a fresh start for indoors and outdoors
January 2025
At Thermae 2000, we are preparing for a new season of relaxation and wellness. Our green lawns and atmospheric indoor spaces are carefully maintained so that our guests can fully enjoy a serene and well-kept environment.
Renewal of the lawns
Our gardeners started this spring with major maintenance and replanting of various outdoor areas. Extensive pruning has been done, and new plants are being added to the slopes of our lawns.
Our gardeners mainly work before opening hours, so you can enjoy your wellness day and our renewed garden in peace.
New energy for our indoor spaces
Not only outside, but also inside, everything is getting a fresh look. Recently, we have given extra attention to our indoor plants, and we are bringing spring indoors with atmospheric seasonal decorations.
With these renovations, we ensure that Thermae 2000 is in full bloom – ready to welcome our guests into a relaxing, green environment.
Soon, even more enjoyment: renewed coating for our thermal indoor pools

At Thermae 2000, your relaxation is always our top priority. That's why we continually invest in the quality and luxury of our wellness facilities. From Monday, May 12 to Sunday, June 1, 2025, we will be applying a new coating to our thermal indoor pools, whirlpools, the exercise pool, the Lotus pool, and the swimming lane. This ensures that your wellness experience will be even more refined and comfortable.
What does this mean for your visit?
During this period, our indoor pools and the Bread & Bites restaurant will be temporarily closed for maintenance. But don't worry, there's still plenty to enjoy! You can still relax in our outdoor pools, enjoy the sunbathing area, and be surprised by additional activities. Our Lounge Bar will remain open, and when the weather is nice, you can visit our Food Truck on the sunbathing area, offering delicious BBQ dishes or refreshing smoothies.
Extra pampering moments during these weeks
To make your visit extra special, we are offering some wonderful extras:
- Free surprise activities like aloe vera or honey massages (worth €8.95, depending on availability)
- A bag of scrub salt for home use to extend the wellness experience
- Day visitors will receive a free return voucher for a new wellness experience in September 2025 (valid with direct booking via Thermae 2000)
Hotel guests will receive €25 credit per person, to be spent on food, drinks, or a treatment in our wellness area.
Accessibility
During the work, the lift for people with limited mobility will unfortunately be out of service. If you are wheelchair-bound, we recommend planning your visit before May 12 or after June 2, so you can fully enjoy all our facilities. We thank you for your understanding.

We’re always evolving to offer our guests a unique and relaxing experience. With our natural thermal water, distinctive architecture, and unbeatable location, we’re taking new steps toward luxury and modernity. 2025 marks a year of renewal, with even more luxury and personalized wellness experiences.
Starting in January 2025, we’ll begin transforming part of our hotel. These renovations will result in:
- A brand-new hotel lobby: Modern and welcoming, capturing the charm of Limburg.
- Luxury wellness hotel rooms: From mid-2025, we’ll open exclusive, high-end wellness suites that reflect the luxury of Thermae 2000. Picture stylish interiors and private wellness amenities — perfect when you truly need a moment for yourself.
We’ll do everything we can to minimize any inconvenience to our guests. Thanks to our unique hillside location (built downhill into the Cauberg), most hotel rooms and wellness facilities will remain fully operational.
Luxury Suites with In-Room Wellness
Starting mid-2025, we’ll unveil luxury wellness suites that perfectly match the calm and serene vibe of Thermae 2000. Featuring elegant interiors and private wellness amenities, these suites offer the ideal setting for a peaceful and luxurious escape. Take in the stunning natural surroundings and, in summer, relax on your own private terrace attached to the suite. Enjoy a moment just for you in these hotel suites.
Peace and Quiet, Even During Renovations
Thanks to our one-of-a-kind location — built into the hillside of the Cauberg — most hotel rooms and all wellness facilities will remain completely accessible. So you can continue to enjoy our thermal baths, saunas, and relaxation areas without disruption.
Starting January 20, 2025, you’ll find our temporary hotel reception at the main entrance. Just follow the signs in the parking area and directions from our staff — we’re always here to help.
Wellness as You Know It
Our wellness center remains open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Hotel guests can easily access their rooms via the wellness corridor, making it effortless to continue your day of relaxation.

A professional bikefit at Fysio Thermae therefore always begins with a thorough examination of the body. This involves analysing various factors, such as flexibility, muscle length and posture, to determine the ideal cycling position.
New: Beer baths at Thermae 2000
April 2023
From April, at the summit of the Cauberg, it will be possible to bathe not only in wine, but also in beer. Thermae 2000 and Brouwerij Klinker, where Thermae 2000 Cauwe beer is also brewed, are joining forces to offer a new experience with a magnificent view over the Geul valley. ‘The wine baths inaugurated last year were a great success with our customers. That's why we wanted to find out what else people could bathe in,’ explains Davey van Keulen, Head of Wellness at Thermae 2000. It turns out that ‘beer is at least as healthy a bath’.

Literally immersing yourself in wine sounds too good to be true. At Thermae 2000, it's possible. Enjoy the hills of Limburg with a glass of wine in your hand, and relax completely. A special collaboration between Wijndomein St. Martinus and Thermae 2000 for a unique wellness experience. A wine bath is a luxurious wellness ritual in which you are literally immersed in the power of the grape. At Thermae 2000, you enter a warm bath filled with thermal water, enriched with wine pulp from the Limburg Monarch grape and nourishing grape seed oil. Meanwhile, you sip a glass of wine and enjoy the panoramic view over the hills of southern Limburg. A moment of pure pleasure.
Outdoor pool with new lining

Thermae 2000 is constantly investing and innovating, so that we can continue to offer you, our customer, the best possible wellness experience. That's why our facilities need regular maintenance. The outdoor pool in the swimming area has a new lining. Normally, the lining is renewed every two years. This time, we opted for a special coating that will last for at least 15 years. We like the idea of a sustainable solution!
