What exactly is a sauna infusion?

Also known as an Aufguss of Löyly

A sauna infusion involves pouring water mixed with essential oils over hot stones, creating steam that intensifies the heat and increases humidity in the sauna. This process is known to enhance relaxation and can have therapeutic benefits, such as improving circulation and skin health. The sauna master often uses towels or fans to distribute the steam evenly throughout the room, a practice especially popular in countries like Finland, where it's referred to as "löyly"​.
